Last week you may remember we gave away tickets to see Tone Red at Three Creeks Brewing Co. in Sisters. You're in luck because we'll be giving away tickets to the next twelve shows at Three Creeks, and this week the lucky winner will receive two tickets to see Poor Man's Roses and a voucher for two free appetizers. If that isn't a screaming deal, I don't know what is.

Here's how you win: go to The Source's Facebook Page and Like us, if you haven't already. There we will post the contest question. The first person to correctly answer the question wins! Keep your eye on the Bent blog and The Source's Facebook page for upcoming giveaways to Three Creeks shows.

We're giving away some tickets (virtual, will-call tickets, to be exact) for Saturday night's CD release show for the Dirty Words at the Old Stone Church at 8pm.

The band, which moved over to Portland and is playing over here for one of the first time since its relocation, is celebrating the release of its new album, Cain, which will be available at the show. Opening are the wildly awesome men of The Autonomics, another Bend-based band now living in Portland.

If you want to win a pair of tickets to the show, e-mail [email protected] with "Dirty Words" in the subject line by noon on Friday. I'll notify the winners later that afternoon.

I'm liking what I hear out of this new Dirty Words record -- it's got a weird edge to it (kind of reminds me of The Dismemberment Plan at times), but in a good way. Have a listen.

Beginning today The Source will be giving away tickets to upcoming concerts at Three Creeks Brewing Co. in Sisters. This will be one of the best giveaways to get in on, because winners receive a voucher for two tickets to that night's show as well as a voucher for a free appetizer.

This week we're giving away tickets to see Tone Red on Saturday, March 19 at 8pm. The band has been described as playing "whiskey-inspired soul tunes", so you know it's bound to be rollicking good time. If you haven't had the opportunity to check out this local band with bluegrass roots, what better time than now with a plate of Three Creek's Black Butte Nachos or Pulled Pork Sliders? If you're lucky enough maybe there will be some of St. Patio's Irish Stout on Nitro still on tap if it's not all guzzled down on Thursday.

Here's how you win: go to The Source's Facebook Page and Like us, if you haven't already. There we will have listed the contest question. The first person to correctly answer the question wins! Keep your eye on the Bent blog and The Source's Facebook page for upcoming giveaways to Three Creeks shows.

In this week's paper, I have a story about Viva Voce, the powerhouse Portland duo that consists of Anita and Kevin Robinson.

After chatting with Anita for the article, I've decided that you need to see this show. And that's why I'm giving away a pair of tickets to the show on Monday at the Tower Theatre, which also features two other awesome bands -- Loch Lomond and Damien Jurado.

All you have to do is e-mail [email protected] with Viva Voce in the subject line by tomorrow (Friday) at 3pm. Include your phone number in the body of the message so I can call you and tell you that you won, duh.

The Century Center, far and away the best new venue for live music in Central Oregon this year, is going to be active this weekend with two big shows. And Rise Up International, the organization behind both gigs is giving away free tickets.

On Friday night, the tour-weathered men of Larry and His Flask are playing a homecoming show, and what they've said will be their last of the year, alongside Grant Sabin and Science Heroes. That show kicks off at 8pm.

Then on Saturday, the Century Center will host the Art For India fundraiser beginning at 5pm, which raises money for more than 280 schoolchildren in India. At 8pm, the music begins with sure-to-be-rad sets from Empty Space Orchestra, The Autonomics and Lakes.

If you want to win tickets to either of the shows, e-mail [email protected] with Free Ticket in the subject line and you'll be entered to win. Submissions must be in by tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.
