What the hell is the "Domino Ron"?

Those who've driven by the Midtown Music Hall in the past week may have noticed the boarded up window of the ballroom. Wondering what happened? Well, here's how we heard it: some dude - and we're guessing a rather drunken dude - tossed what is believed to be a pint glass through one of the six-foot-tall windows and also smashed out the iconic florescent Domino Room sign. Then, said drunkard smashed up another window at the Domino Room.

Great. Thanks a lot, A-hole. The music scene in this town is hurdling enough obstacles with the current local economy, and now you have to further hamstring it by bashing up the main venue in town? Nothing like a little vandalism to brighten up the holidays for Bend's nightlife crew.

But hey, despite this act of cowardly vandalism, the beat will go on at the Midtown complex. The last show of the month slated for the venue is the B Foundation (see this week's feature) at the Domino Room and should draw a nice crowd - even if the florescent sign won't be illuminated.
