It's been in the works for more than a month now, but the lineup has been finalized for the Bend For Haiti concert to take place at the Tower Theatre on March 19. The show is the culminating effort led by Reed Thomas Lawrence, the local pop rocker who will come out of relative live show dormancy to perform at the gig.

The rest of the lineup includes the poppy Oregon funk and reggae act Rootdown as well as Eugene's David Jacobs-Strain, the blues guitarist and songwriter who has a solid following here in Bend.

Eric Tollefson, fresh back from a quick trip down to LA with his band, will also be on the bill, playing solo. Tickets are $35 for the show and $50 for the show and the after party at the nearby Liberty Theatre.

Also, if you can't make it out to the show, you can still make a donation by visiting the Bend for Haiti website.

Lets see Haiti has recieved over 66 Million in aid, and yet we cannot seem to help the 2200 homeless people in our own town! Makes sense to me to put more money to Haiti!!!!

Let me clearify that 66+ Million alone has come from the USA to benefit Haiti. That does not include all the other countries that have donated money. Don't get me wrong, I think we were definelty right in helping out, but I think we have done enough! Lets take this benefit concert and apply that money to helping people locally. I could imagine that if you raised $5,000 that 5 families could do alot with $1,000 each to have a start!

and for K: you should really go ahead and organize a benefit concert for local people in need. That would be a great use of your time instead of suggesting that a benefit comitted to another cause switch and divert the money raised to local needs. I know personally that the local music scene is VERY charitable. You should just shut it and organize your own benefit.
